We have outside consultant placing lights, that are currently Not hiding out ACT grid. People on the net noted that it could not be done, but if the "hiding plane" of the light family is set 0.25" lower than the ACT it would "hide" wipeout the act grid in our file. did this in the old CAD days, **know it will work, see image below- ROOM 153G the lights in LINKED file were incorrectly set to 1' lower that grid, note the lights are wiping out the grid in our file, just what we want.
The question: how do we set the opaque plane of the lights lower, and the "X" of the projected lines even lower, and set all those objects to NOT snap to?
We have set them lower before, but then a person adjusting a light accidently snaps/grabs the lower plane and placing it on the same plane as ACT, there by moving light up. How do we set those objects to not grab?
or easier way to hide grid
Thank you!!
