join the timber

  hi, i want to join the 2 piece of timber on as it shows on the pic. the quesrios, how can i join it without having the end as it looks, i want to join it properly.

Thanks for your reply.

 I think you usuing Revit 2014 Architecture version. If you have all in one version Revit 2014 then you have not loaded option properly. You will be able to see it in Revit Structure. Use Revit Structure 2014. Otherwise go to Top Left > Click on Big "R" > Option > User interface > Configure > Click on Structure.

It will be loaded. Try to Grab it.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Yeah, I think your Revit 2014 is not loaded properly. Only Revit Architectural is loaded. So that you will not be able to access any Structural or System option. Just Check it and reload it. When you will load Revit then you have to on the three option (Architecture, Structure & System). Then it will be loaded properly and work.

In your 3D view, select a Joist....right click the node near the top beam, select "Edit Beam/Column Join" You will see arrows....click on those until you get your desired result...

OP has Revit Architecture installed....it has the small A underneath the R....so there won't be the option for the Structural or MEP panels.

  hi i have been looking and exploring the JOIN CUTBACCK, but i though that it was going to do the cut as i wanted, straight it shows on Sudha-civil pic also it just give me options in some of the timber, not in all of them, is there something that i can do about it?
