importing text file into revit

how does one import a text file from a wordprocessor and paste it into Revit for say elevation notations.
With other CAD programs this is a simple operation.

open word processor program, select text, ctrl-C.
open Revit file, start text by dragging a text box with text tool, make sure
you are at the cursor, then ctrl-V.

Text can be placed almost anyhwere, but you can put it in a legend view if
it's text to be repeated on multiple sheets.
