importing Point Cloud into Revit 2013

I am having trouble importing my *.pcg files created with recap into revit 2013. I get file incompatible or corrupt messages. Anybody have some advice for me?

I'm not positive as I haven't used 2013 for that in quite awhile but I think you'll need to let Revit index the source files, not ReCap. That product was built on a couple acquisitions and I'm not sure they were entirely compatible at the time of those releases. In 2014 the file format changed to RCS and RCP too so I think you may just be caught in the middle.

Try another format or if you are processing other files with ReCap try letting Revit create its own indexed files. Good luck!

Thank you. REVIT 2013 was a pain so we moved to 2014, still a pain but manageable .
