import/convert 3d cad to revit

The previous team has started the project in CAD 2011 with most elements in 3D, including walls, windows, doors, curtain walls, etc.  For a different reason, we are going to start DD in Revit.  Is there a way to import/convert/reuse the 3D CAD components in Revit so we don't have to start from scratch?  Thanks much.

You have 2 options: finish the job using AutoCAD Architecture, or start modeling from scratch in Revit.
