use a Decal:

  1. Insert >Decal > Decal Types > Create New Decal - Setting - Source - choose a bitmap you want to use as image....OK
  2. Insert >Decal > Place Decal - hover over a suface, place it , adjust dimensions...

Be sure you place the Decal on the right face....I've applied another decal ...a Gustav Klimt's cause I didn't find yours....

In my example you can see a rendered image and a Realistic Graphic Display...It will, also , appear in Ray Trace Graphic Display...

Thank you for the quick reply! I will use Photoshop in 5 minutes rather than beat my head against my desk for hours...

Another way could be using a  mapped material  by Material Browser ...hope this works in LT....

What if we add the same image in it as a material property?

I think it will work....!

This actually works and pretty well too. You would have to play around with the image dimensions and the tile part to get it right but otherwise my render using the image as a material came out pretty good.
