dimension String placement

Can anyone give me a tip to control the dimension string placement 5' from a wall face on plan? Thanks David

just place a detail line where you want it, then drag the dim to that location. Revit lets you set the offest between dimensions strings in the property of the dimension, but not from objects.

Alrighty, I was hoping some form of drag and type the distance to offset the dimension string from.
