When you attach the top of the wall to a floor, the height of the wall changes. If you move the level of the floor up and down the
wall will get higher or lower to stay attached to it. Also, if the floor is sloped the top of the wall will be sloped.
On the other hand, join geometry only cleans up the intersection of the wall and the floor. It won't change the height of the wall.
