creating ventilation grids on ceiling of underground parking?

Hi,

Can someone please tell me how I can create a sort of grill openings in the ceiling of an underground parking level?  There are no ducts connected to it, it's just an opening between the underground level and the ground level, like a courtyard, for example?  Thank you!

hi,

there are a few methods for this ,but the most handy one seems to be using : Architecture > Opening > Shaft  . This will cut all the horizontal elelements (floors, ceilings ) leaving Walls uncut.

Other mthods could be using :

Voids families or Component Modeled in Place (act similar with Shaft)

or simpy sketch in Edit Boundary - with the drawback that can not be applied simultaneusly to a bunch of horizontal elements
