I'm having trouble connecting wall layers

Anytime I am dealing with a wall join that is not working the way I need it to - I pull the walls apart and re-join them together. You may need to do this several times to achieve the results you are looking for.
If you pull the wall that is intersecting away and re-attach it how does that look?
Also make sure that the layers have the same function - it will only connect the same layers... Finish 1 with Finish 1, Finish 2 with Finish 2. ETC.
