Did you try to pick parts of the wall away from the modification? I think
the rebar looks to be part of a slab or wall object. The modification may
not react to a pick as a wall object.
Try putting rebar in a monolithic stair made of concrete. The rebar routine
won't highlight the stair. Rebar needs work.
