What is the best way to get overhead information, like dashed lines for headers or doorless openings to show up in plan?

I use in this kind of situations two ways of solving the problem:

  1. using Underlay : in Floor Plan View - Level 1 (as an example) : Properties > Underlay : Level 2 - the wall from the next level appears ( use Wireframe Grapic Display). Click on the lines that border the wall from Level 2 and click Linework >change to Hidden Lines ( the condition is to have different walls on the Level 1 and 2 and not a wall that goes from Level 1 to Level N...)
  2. using Symbolic Lines in Door Family ( as an example): In Door Family draw Symbolic Lines  as hidden lines as you want o appear in 2d Floor Plan.Assign to these 2 d lines a visibility parameter so to can be turn on/off in the project, and load the Familly into the Project
