I am fairly new to Revit, so I am not 100% my approach is best practice - but anyway.
Condition:
I have the following existing condition: Simple Concrete Walls with a layer of Panels on the exterior Side
For the new construction those panels will be demolished and a layer of Insulation will be installed.
Approach:
I was drawing the Concrete wall including the insulation and then used "create parts" and put the insulation and the concrete on the respective phases.
Since there is a certain pattern and distribution to the existing panels, I decided to go with a line-based family for those, which seems to be working fine.
I used Shared Parameters in order to get the count of the panels scheduled.
Problem:
When I am introducing windows to my wall, the only cut through the Wall but not through the line-based panels - so i used a void to cut the panels, however it seems like the cut out panels are not accounted for in the schedule.
Is there a work around?
