True North angle parameter in TitleBlock

Hi all,

In the Tittle Block family I created a true north symbol. you know, the one

with a circle and a bold line from its center.

I then created a parameter with agular label for it rotation against a ref. line.

When this Title Block being inserted in to the project file, I change the angle

accordingly to what I wanted, say 20 degree.

Yes, the bold line rotates as I wanted, but the rest of the lines in the tittle sheet also

adjusted, say being shifted to the right a fair distance of 1/128", very noticeable.

What have I done wrong?

Can you post an image, or the family itself?

Thanks, that made it clearer what you were trying to do.  Here's what I'd recommend.  Start a new generic annotation family, and draw your north arrow there.  Then load that into your titleblock family, and set up your angular parameter.  That should get the whole north arrow to rotate.

I have written a blog article about a similar North symbol family, with includes a parameter to specify the rotation:
