Tricky curved roof - adaptive components

Hi,

I am trying to create a roof that is constrained by four arcs.

It appears an adaptive component roof beam, constrained to these arcs is the best way to go about it, from my searches.  If you have thoughts on a better way please let me know.

So, I'm trying to create a curved adaptive component and extrude a beam profile along its path.  Then insert into a massing model.  In between these beam I'd like to have a translucent roof.

If you see the images, the profile gets wonky in the extrusion, and I cannot seem to place a profile and center it on the curve.

Any thoughts?

Thank you,

Trevor Pan

Sadly i don´t have any experience on adaptive components. Have you tried http://buildz.blogspot.com.br/ or his channel on youtube? He has a lot of good videos on adaptive components (you'll have to look to the old ones since now hés posting a lot about Dynamo).

Hi gustavomello,

Yes, I've checked out a bunch of his videos on youtube.

The parameters I have differ in style. Generally, those are more free form, type geometry, and I have arc defined curves. It should be hard to reconcile, but I'm not having much luck!

But, that adaptive environment is pretty touchy.

Thank you,
