Strange inverted colours - sections and imported layers

After Windows 7 64bit installed an update yesterday (KB2670838 - 27-feb), I'm experiencing some colours inversion in selected objects and section and view symbols. DWG imported layers are also inverted.

Can we solve this situation without reverting windows update?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

João.

We have the same issue this morning on all of our machines that got the update.  The Windows update in questions is Platform Update for Windows 7 x64-Edition (KB2670838) installed on 2/27/13.  So far everything else seems to be working fine except for color inversion in selected objects, section and view symbols, and imported DWG layers.

Having the same issues here - only on 2012 right now. 2013 doesn't seem to be affected. All affected computers received the "Platform Update for Win7 64 bit (KB2670838)

Has anyone tried to remove the culprit update? KB2670838

i cannot recreate the issue, but at least two of my clients are experiencing this problem with the same update.

Have not seen it, but suspect it could be a .NET framework getting updated to 4.5 from 4.0, which has been seen to cause odd graphics issues with RAC 2012--2013 is compatible with .NET 4.5.

Un-installing the update or reloading the video driver doesn't fix the issue.  Looks like this update changes something in Direct X.  I can't speak for everyone, but I've been turning off hardware acceleration until Microsoft and/or Autodesk fixes the issue.   Turning off hardware acceleration seems to do the trick.

Rumor has it that you can restore the PC to a previous date (a system restore) will also work, but that's too much work....

We had this same issue on two machines recently.  On one it also impacted the color range for raster images within Revit and photoshop.  We noticed it first when we opened a "cloud rendered" image that almost looked like the colors were inverted.  Uninstalling the "optional" update resolved the issue.
