Steel Columns will not show up on Floor Plans

Hiya I have inserted my steel columns on my ground floor plans but when I go to view them they are not showing up on floor plans or the 3D view.

Can anyone help me with this problem.

try these:

• verify in VGO > Model Categories > Structural Columns must be checked
• pay attention to choose height not depth when placing column....otherwise the column will be placed out of View Range

• control the View Range values
• verify the Detail Level . If Coarse ,then it will be shown simplified as a line....

when doing the beams it does the same but it doesnt have any options to change?

• Suppose the beam is placed at Level 1 with Z Justification at Top.
• That means that the beam is under Level 1 and it will not be seen unless we change the View Range at a negative value (slightly under 0,00 )
• If Z Justification is at Bottom or even Center, the beam will be seen even if we not change the View Range ...

By default , Beams are with Z Justification at Top , this explains why you have to make changes in View Range in order to see it
