Snap to material

Hello,

is there a way to disable snap to materials? I have a wood floor and when I try to draw a wall it will snap on every single wooden board. Gets really anoying.

Thanks.

Create a duplicate view that does not get put on a sheet, and turn off the floor surface pattern in that view.

Nice workaround. So I guess there's no way real way to turn them of for mats...

But that will do the trick anyway ;o)

Thanks a lot for the tip.

You could temporarily hide the floor in that view, then turn it back on again.

or toggle SO (snaps off) as a keyboard shorcut, which temporarily turns off
snaps for the next pick.

You can also change the fill pattern to 'drafting' as opposed to 'model'. This will stop snapping to the lines of the hatch pattern.
