Skylight that cuts out Roof and Ceiling

Hi guys

I want to place a Skylight on a Slope Roof that will be channel vertically thru the Raked Ceiling System. I need to show this skylight on Roof and Ceiling plans.
How do you guys do it? without tracing lines or using Vertical command
Thanks

Use a Generic Model Roof Base Family with an incorporated Void....Loaded into the project it will place on the roof surface and it will cut it.

Thanks Constantin for your response.

I must be doing something wrong. I create the void does cut the roof but It doesn't cut the ceiling. Can you please have a look at the file I attached to see if I did something wrong.

  • in Family Editor >Properties > Other > check Cut with Voids When Loaded....then load it back into the project
  • In Project, better in a 3d View, select the Skylight...the Void will appear highlighted in blue - Geometry > Cut -select the ceiling and then the void again....the void will cut the ceiling , floor, etc
