Select multiple curtainwall panels

I have a curtainwall cut into hundreds of panels and I need to substitute each of these with 1 of a dozen or so custom panels.  Is there a way to select, say 30 panels from a curtainwall and then substitute one type from the properties panel, rather than substituting one at a time?

Thanks,

Jon

Hi John,

Are the panels adjacent to each other? If you use a cross selection window to select that portion of the wall, then use the Filter tool to filter out only the panels, you should be able to change them all at once.

Hope this helps!

Hi Katie,

Unfortunately they're not  Attached is one elevation that is representative of many on the facility and it isn't common when two identical panels are even side by side.  Any other ideas?

Thanks,

Jon

4 years later but this may be useful to someone:

to select multiple curtain panels, hide EVERYTHING in your view EXCEPT the curtain wall itself AND panels. hide even curtain wall grid (you cant hide the grid by category, but by element!)

happy selecting!
