Room Area discrepincy

Could someone please shed some light on what is going on here (see
attached). I originally placed these rooms based on room and area settings
set to center of wall. I then needed a quick temporary floor area or to
wall finish calc. I changed the room and area settings to wall finish, some
rooms conformed - others didn't (see attached). Is there some secret
society these rooms belong to and not every room is invited or what?
Creating separate area plans would take hours and seems like double work
when the info is there for some of the rooms.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

thanks

It looks like this is an area plan, so I'm assuming we are seeing areas in the rentable area scheme. The wall position used is based
on the BOMA rules, which depend on what kind of space is on each side of the wall. If you want to control whether it is using the
wall face or centerline you need to use "rooms" rather than "areas".

you are seeing rooms. i highlighted them in the area plan. FYI - rooms
look and highlight the same in all plans. I think it is an issue with 9.0.
I am still testing and will be til morning. I should have a solution by
then. no thanks to Autodesk or my vendors support for my sleepless nights:)

but i still love revit - for better or worse, right?

ok i got it. i bit the bullet and upgraded the large model to 9.1 (after
many backups of course) and that fixed the room area discrepancy (as you can
see on the attached image all rooms now stop at face of wall). i'm not sure
what this reason is but i will mark it as a glitch for now.

oh, btw. The only 'fix' i could come up with for error message issue with
9.1 (Serious Error posted 10-30-06) was to reboot the box then open the rvt
file again in 9.1. It seems to be a conflict with 9.0 on the same machine
(maybe a shared dll or registry cross?)
