Roofs

Dear experts,

 

How do I make a flashing detail for this window?

 

See pics of Revit model and photograped example of what I'm trying to acheive.

This may not be the best way to handle it, but this is how i would do it...

 

1) create a vertical opening in your roof.

2) add a secondary roof with the new slope at the evation required

3) add a wall below the roof on each side to the new flat roof.

 

see attached file.  It's rough. just a concept.

Yeah thats how i would do it. Would you even need the opening tool? Just modify your roof sketch boundaries?
Unrelated to revit....Now, you are going to fall the second roof away from the window opening right?

That photo is a receipe for disaster.

Thanks I'll try this.

 

Regarding the photo.  It was just something off www as an example.  I see what you mean about the slope, but I think its an optical illusiion.  The roof probably falls away slightly (or you would hope).
