Roof with a rising wall plate

Can anyone suggest how I might achieve a simple roof having a long ridge between two gables but with a rising wall plate from one end to the other.  In other words a simple roof with a long rectangular footprint, opposing long edges with slope properties of say 35 deg. giving two gables but where each gable has to be separated by an elevation of say 1000mm? Have also posed this question on Wikihelp.

I think this is what you might be after.

I created this using the shape editing tools.  I made a flat roof and then added a split line and raised that to make the gable.  Then I edited the 3 points on one side to make them all higher the other side making the raked gable effect.

Thanks Jeff, especially for introducing me to shape editing tools. I have never used them before!
