Roof footprint edit error

Have created a roof with a gable on each end. Edit roof footprint to change the two gable end roof slopes to a hip roof. When I finish the edit, I get a "Can't keep wall & target joined" error message...which affect all sides of the roof. I have done this many times before without ever getting this error message.

Additional information....this is a two-story house. The roof being edited is on the two-story portion. There is a gable roof on a lower level on one side.

I was able to resolve my own issue and will share with others. The roof slope on each side of the gable roof did not match. One side was 9:12 while the other was 8:12. When I changed the 9:12 to a 8:12 slope, was able to change the gable ends to a hip roof with an 8:12 slope.

AI forgot my own rule when resolving issues - ALWAYS start with the simple and most obvious first. I assumed both roof slopes were the same.
