Revit server lag

We're running a project on Revit Server 2014. For the moment only people in our office have access to the Revit Server.

In the project we have linkes Revit file linked in our model. These files are linked from the Revit Server.

In the project, we also have externat Revit file from our consultants linked in our model. These files are linked from our Network (Drive lettes Y).

We're experiencing intermitent performance problems (latency) when Sync to Central and Reload Latest on our models. Some times STC and RL may take up to 2 minutes.

Any toughts what might cause these?
