Revit retaining view templates while Linking Issue

We are having a problem at our office. We are using REVIT 2014 and In our central model we link in our consultants models and hide what we dont want to see per sheet by using veiw templates. It is all fine and dandy until we have to load a newer model from them in. We delete the old model name the new one the same name once we do this everything we wanted hidden comes back on on our sheets and we have to rinse and repeat. Is anyone having prolems with this. PLEASE HELP!!

Welcome to the Discussion Groups!

In lieu of deleting the previous model and replacing it, save the new version as a separate file (probably with the date in the filename) and then in your project, use "Reload From..." under Manage Template to redirect the path to the latest consultant model.

This is an exhuasting way to work with the problem @andy has.  Andy you should try posting this question in REVIT CITY or in better forums. I never experienced this issue but it sure looks scary.

Have you tried saving over the old model in lieu of deleting and replacing?
