Revit Backwards Compatibility (2010 --> 2008)

Is there any way to save or convert a Revit 2010 file so it will be compatible and will work in Revit 2008?

Thanks.

Revit has never been backwards compatible. You can
try to export to IFC but there may be some loss of information.

You can export it as a 3D AutoCAD file and that way the earlier version can import the CAD file into their Revit program. Make sure you are on the 3D view when you go to the export to CAD.dwg file option. I am using 2011 Revit and some of the other disciplines are only on 2010. I needed 2011 Revit for my cable tray installation. 2010 doesn't have this cable tray option.

Thanks,

Jamie
