Revit Architecture 2014: Prevent families from appearing on multiple levels

Problem: Inserting family (kitchen) on one floor and it copies it to floors above. When I go to delete the objects on the above floors, the one I want to keep on the bottom floor deletes too.

On the other hand, when I select the family it says that it is constrained to the level I want it to be on but I can still see it on floors above.

So, I'm not sure if the family is being copied to multiple levels or if you can see the one object on above levels, or if I'm dealing with something completely different.

This whole problem started when I tried copying that family from its original level to a new level below. Now it doesn't even matter if I try to modify the original family object or if I try to insert a new one - same thing happens no matter what.

This is the only type of family that is behaving this way. Everything else is working normally.

Has anyone else experienced this problem, and know how to fix it?
