Revit Arch 2012 Crashes When Closing Project

The title pretty much says it all. Whenever I try to close out of a project Revit goes into a never ending state of "Not Responding"

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and Revit Architecture 2012 64-bit if it matters.

A lot of times if Revit manages to miraculously close down. Then I get stuck with the process of Revit running in the task manager. I have no clue why it does this. But it's super frustrating.

Does anyone else have this issue?

I should also mention that sometimes it can take up to 6 minutes for a project to load and open. This issue is only with 2012. 2011 still works fine.
