Revit Arch 2012 Callout "Reference other views" issue

Revit Architecture 2012 Callout "Reference other views" is not filling in Callout Labels. I  am picking the scale and the picking a View in the "Reference other view" pulldown. The callout labels do not fill in. Just "-". The View I am referencing is a Callout View from a Section already called out on a sheet.

Thanks in advance for your help.

The section is already on a sheet, and it contains a callout to this existing view. But, is the existing view on a sheet, by itself, already?

Thank you for your post.  One thought that you could try for the said project would be to delete the existing problematic view and then recreate the same said view.  You would need to modify the view to fit your original view defined but this would create a new working instance of the same said view.  Does it still then behave ill?  Please keep us posted in the community so we can all best help moving forward where possible.  Thank you.

Similar issue with 2015.  Does not cross reference "SIM" view on same page
