Revit 2014 - linking elevation name to room name

I am curious to know if it is possible to link an elevation name to a room name. Example: Instead of the auto name "Elevation 1-a" it would name the elevation according to the room that is is associated with. I've done a little research on it, but this is the closest thing I have found to a solution.

I don't know much about coding and was hoping there would be a plugin that somebody knew about that could achieve this solution. Hopefully this is something autodesk can incorporate into the next version!

I am not aware of any such add-in ready-made.

You could take the source code provided by The Building Coder and adapt that to your needs, or ask someone more knowledgeable in Revit add-in or macro programming to do it for you.

That's what it is there for 🙂
