Revit 2013 - Parameters gone haywire

I'm using Revit 2013 from the Building Design Suite.

I'm working on a project where I am using several custom created families. If I open the families into the editor and check the parameters they list only the ones that I want. In this example I have a stainless steel fabricated bench. The type parameters I have are manufacturer, model, a short description, dimensions and item number. When I import it into any other or an empty project it works fine, however when I inset it into the project I am currently working on it starts adding parameters into my families. In this instance it has added a cold water service inlet into the type parameters and electrical requirements into the properties tab. This has happened to most of my families on this one project. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this as I'm hoping I don't have to do a re-do on everything in this project.

That project has some project parameters that apply to the category of the family that you made. It does not affect anything. It's just more parameters. If you want to eliminate them from that family, remove the project parameters, or change the category that they apply to, or change the cateogory of your family.
