Hi,
I have a new computer bought especially for Revit 2011 use. Yesterday when starting Revit, I got an error message that the program needs to be closed and then this box appeared:
After this I've not been able to start Revit. It gets stuck on the loading window and Taskmanager says "secsplashwnd not responding".
I googled the problem, but couldn't find a solution. Someone suggested that the problem is related to NET.Framework so I've been trying to uninstall all NET.Frameworks and Autodesk products and then reinstalling everything, but that didn't work.
Could it be that this problem is caused by the Windows NET.Framework 4 update that came this week? I've also tried to restore my system to the time before that, but no help. I'm using Windows 7 and it's up to date.
Help needed. Will even Windows reinstall help?

Hi,
I come back to this because my supplier found an answer from the web. This works also in Revit Architecture.
Our AutoCAD/Revit supplier was able to give me a hand. AutoDesk already knew of the error and the solution was to delete this file:
"C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\A utodesk Revit Structure 2010\ENU\Components\WebServices\WSCommCntrData.xml "
I can be in different places in XP and Vista/Win 7 but the file name is the same. Once i deleted this file it worked fine."
thanks for this post i deleted that file and it now works!! .. this was annoying me all day !! should have looked up on the net for a solution earlier
