Revision index

Why can't alphabetic and numeric systems be combined in revision index? Ex. A1, A2, B1, C1, C2, C3, C4, D1 etc....

This is the standard revision index system in Norway. Now we have to use work arounds to solve this.

In the U.S. we often use 0 (Zero) as issued for construction and revit oes not do that either. We have to trick Revit and take the O out of the alphabet and move it to the begining of the alphabet, or use Yes/No parameters in the title block family to manually place a dummy no with a check when we need it.......then there is always trying to get the customers to buy off that revit does not issue a zero and in place will be a blank revision (Akward)

I can't understand why its not fixed. Should be a quick fix for Autodesk.

You can use calculated value in your revision shedule instead of the default one. Just put "Revision Sequence - 1" and it will give you zero in the schedule.

Hi,

If the revision sequence is constant for each project, you can use a calculated value with an if statement to add the letters.

But if the sequence varies, for example you have A1, A2, A3, B1 in one project and then A1,A2,B1,B2 in another project, I think you won't be able to automate it.
