Renovation wall demo infill question

Hi, I demo'd an existing window and Revit was nice to put an infill wall there.  I changed it to a thinner wall to create a "memory" of the old window.  I want a perpindicular wall to go all the way to the new infill wall, but you can see it stops short.  How can I get it to continue all the way?  The grip shows it's connected all the way into the wall.

disallow join on the perpendicular wall, then drag the end to where you want it.

Disallow join on the new wall and edit the wall profile manually

I would rather not edit wall profiles at this point in the project
