Recessed Lights - Copying and Arraying

Anyone know why recessed lights in Gypsum board ceilings cannot be copied or arrayed but if the ceiling is changed to generic, they can?  This tripped me up today.

I am encountering the same problem in Revit 2014 Update Release 2.  Don't know the answer, but found a workaround on the web (from Revit 2013): Change the ceiling type, copy your lights, then change the ceiling type back to gyp board.
