In my country schedules are organized by material. i.e. when a window is made of wood it is part of the wood work schedule and so on.
Revit organizes tags by categories regardless of material. We are trying to make a tag that will identify any project parameter, like keynote or a shared parameter called Schedule type and decide automatically which tag geomtry is needed at any given instance. I attach a trial tag that we made but couldn't make work as required.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Tags just read properties from elements, and display those properties in labels. It is not possible to put a conditional statement in the tag family that does something such as "if the value of 'x property' in the project is 'this', then use this type of tag".
HI,
As mentioned above this is currently not possible in Revit.
You may want to add this as a suggestion for improvement for future releases of Revit. Our product managers and developers are always very interested in hearing about possible improvements that may be brought to the product.
