Placing crown moulding on interior wall on built multi-level house

I don't know how to place crown moulding on built model multi-level interior wall .When I switch to 3d it shows the whole model building.
So how can I go inside the room on first floor on 3d mode, do I have to make all the second level, floors, wall.columns etc "transparent"Seems
a lot of work.So what is the proper proceedure to place crown moulding on each wall interior. In the tutorial, it shows only individual wall.Easy to place the crown moulding on the top of the wall.but on multi level building model, how to go on each room?dont know the proceedure. if you want to work in 3D view inside the
model- yeah you can hide elements blocking
what you want to see- and you can also
section box it..

right click in the 3D view area and select
"view properties" and check the section box..
or highlight an element and click on those
glasses down on the "view control bar"..

You can use interior elevation views to show all the walls in the various
rooms where where you want the crown moulding profiles or create sections or
create a wall type with the crown moulding profile sweep already embedded at
the desired height. Yes you can probably do it 3D and using a Section box
but I think the other ways will be easier.

thank you so much for the reply, I think Im more comfortable on elevation /section proceedure on placing crown wall mouldings. But still i will be interested to study section box as a new tool but still not clear on how to control the visibilty using the 3d mode.If by chance you can give me the detail procedure using the view properties of 3d.Imstill not sure which box to check. Thanks

You could use a specialized 3D view which will show what you want to be able to
apply molding:

- Hit the 3D icon in the QAT to create a default 3D view.

- R/C on the ViewCube > Orient to View > Floor Plans > [Select the plan view you
want to deal with). That creates a 3D view that has the same cut plane and
visibility as the floor plan, with the section box.

- Use the ViewCube to re-orient the view to a 3D view (e.g., r/click the
ViewCube, Orient to a Direction > Southwest Isometric)

- R/C on select elements that you may want to hide > Hide in view, such as
floors, trees, site, etc.

- Click the section box to enable the grips to resize it as needed.

- Use VG to edit the view properties, and set your ceiling category to be
Transparent. You should still see the outline of the ceiling against the wall.
