Open the doors

Greetings,
Is there a way to show the doors "open" for walkthroughs? We don't want to look like we have supernatural powers by walking through doors.

Checkout Help using Reference Lines infamilies and there are several tutorials on using Reference Lines in families.

You would need to model the doors with the 3D panels in the open position. There is no way to animate the doors opening. To do that, you'd need to port the model to 3D Studio MAX, and animate it there. That is the only way to animate the doors opening as you approach

As long as the door is shown open, it does not need to be animated. Any way to do that?

Look at the tutorial in the attached zip file it
shows you how to create both 2D and 3D door swings.

As
long as the door is shown open, it does not need to be animated. Any way to do
that?
