Hi

Can anyone give more explanation about setting Revit to DWG?

For example, How to use the editor window,And at what time should be set?

The Layer Modifiers are used to create new Layers based on each element's information according to the Modifiers that are chosen.

As an example, say you have a Project with three Walls - one new, one existing, and one demo. Our View is set to New Construction Phase, and 'Show All' as the Phase Filter. We want to export this to DWG format using the 'Export Layer Options:' set to "Export Category Properties BYLAYER and overrides BYENTITY" (which is default). Currently, if we export this View, all three Walls will be exported onto the same Layer; whatever is designated for Walls in the Export Settings (default "A-WALL"). The difference in their Phases will be applied to each entity in AutoCAD by way of Color and/or Linetype Override. So... 

	AutoCAD Entities
In Revit	Layer	Color	Linetype
New Wall	A-WALL	ByLayer	Continuous
Existing Wall	A-WALL	Color 8	Continuous
Demo Wall	A-WALL	White	ByLayer

This can be quite cumbersome to deal with in AutoCAD since all of the Walls are on the same Layer. Now, say we added the "{Phase Status}" Layer Modifier (with a "-" separator) to the Walls in Revit's Export Settings. If you scroll down to the Modifiers and expand "{Phase Status}" you will see that the default values for "Demolished" is "D", "Existing" is "E", etc. This value will be added to the entities Layer Name in AutoCAD, hence separating them into different Layers according to their {Phase Status}. So the same three Walls export to AutoCAD will look like...

	AutoCAD Entities
In Revit	Layer	Color	Linetype
New Wall	A-WALL	ByLayer	ByLayer
Existing Wall	A-WALL-E	Color 8	ByLayer
Demo Wall	A-WALL-D	White	ByLayer

Notice that there are all on different Layers, now?
