We have a structural model linked into our building model for a project with about 10 people working on it. Periodically, some users cannot see all of the elements in the linked structural model. We have tried/checked the following:
We are unable to resolve the problems through the methods above. Oddly, when a different user opens the view the elements are displayed. Or, if we override via Visibility/Graphics to the linked model settings the elements are displayed. In this second sceanario the only way to control the graphics is by changing them in the linked model.
Nethier workaround is efficient or productive. Any thoughts appreciated.
Update: We are closer to solving the problem, we think.
For some reason, the workset visibility is getting changed in the linked model on a user by user basis. Via Visibility/Graphics, we can override the linked model Visibility/Graphics setttings to custom and turn on the worksets. Again, this is user by user. A different user can open the same view and not have this problem.
Is there anyway to globally overide the visibilty of worksets in a linked model?
Via Manage Links and Manage Worksets, the central model has all of the Worksets opened.
