Materials and Line Weights

Okay, am needing to "Halftone" some of my Surface Hatch Materials, and find
a way to do this............I "vaguely" remember seeing something on this in

Mike,

  • Several ways to do this.
  • Select the hatched object in a view, right-click and override the graphics,
  • Based upon your plotter, use a medium blue color for the hatch/material. This will print at a lighter tome. You'll have to experiment with your plotter.
  • Define the material using a gray, or color, rather than black.
Good Luck!

I have a question. I have in the past used a gray color in autocad at the insistence of the one in charge. I tried to explain that gray colors and a screen print is not the same. When several of the clients complained loudly about making copied and the line and hatched areas coming out black we switched to the screen printing. Now I am facing the same issue with Revit. Is there a way to make a screen print line and fill in Revit and make it come out looking gray? i am sure there is, I just do not know it yet.
