Material quontity

Hi!
If I have multicomponent wall or roof, is it possible to calculate material volume by 3D building model. For example, I need to know how many bricks totally I have in my project including bricks in external walls (as one of component), in internal walls and various architectural detail (pilaster, columns etc.)

Thanks

Revit will not count bricks for you unless you have modelled each one. Luckily revit will schedule your walls, so if you have defined your wall types, ie brick over cmu or whatever, just create a wall schedule and you will see you can get the area of the walls, this will give you the basis to add a formula to the schedule for sqft cost per brick or however you do your take offs. Check the help regarding formulas and schedules.
