Duplicating and renaming a material, if I try to change the characteristics Revit also modifies the original material.
What is the problem?
thanks

It is the most common issue in the new material editor, after duplicating the material you also have to duplicate the appearance assest, then go to the information box and rename the assest. If you don't make this, Revit will modify the original assest.

I hope this will help you, Alex

hi

The following methods can be used to create personalized materials.

1-The window material and the material below the window and click on New icon to create a new article.

2-Now open the list of descriptions and details and enter a name for the type of material it can also specify

3-You can also click on the button Open / closes asset browser with default material instead
