Mac

Will Revit & Autocad work on the new Macs? I am thinking of getting one to replace this PC (hoping it will work faster & better). If it is not Mac compatible, will it be compatible on the PC portion of the Mac?

This question has been asked time and time again.
Only compatible when running a Windows emulator on a Mac.

Does anyone know if Autodesk will (sometime in the near future) be offering Apple compatible software?

Years ago,Autodesk did offer version of their products on different platforms, when all other platforms other than windows were dropped, the reason was that there were not enough sales on each platform to offset the cost of porting and compliling, and supporting the programs on other operating systems. It is purely an economic decision.

I think it is safe to say that with the usage of
Parallels or VM Fusion there is not a compelling reason for Autodesk to come up
with a MAC version of AutoCAD or Revit (both that work well on Intel type CPU on
a MAC).
