Are there any known methods (work-arounds or otherwise) for linking cad files in families?

Hello Devin,

This is a feature that is available via the e-SPECS Revit Plugin Console  Not only can you select a family and view the specs associated with that family (even redline in collaboration with the specifier), but ANY file can also be associated to families and viewed directly in Revit (and Navisworks too).

We have on-line demos showing this functionality and you can contact me directly at smcgrady at e-specs dot com if you'd like.
