Linked dwg to be exported to dwg

How do I export a sheet to dwg that is displaying a linked dwg and have that original linked dwg show back up in the newly exported dwg - all as one complete sheet...Just like I see it on my sheet in revit??
As of now, when I export to dwg, pretty much the only thing I see are elements created in revit and none of the original data from the linked dwg.

Appreciate any help - thanks
Boyd j.

You should get the dwg as an xref in the exported file if it was linked into the project. I'm amazed at the exporting I get, it even uses xclip when there is a crop region. You may have to reload the link right before you export. Sometimes revit doesn't reload the background. Note if you want it a block just xport and move the dwg file so revit cant find it then it will create a block of the dwg data.
