Line weight in printed doucuments

My line weights in printed documents in Revit Architecture turn out much heavier than they appear on screen.  They are so heavy as to obscure important detail.  What do I need to do to correct this?

Thank you

Pete

You can change the line weights to fit your needs - on the manage tab, additional settings, line weights you will get a dialog box (image attached) in which you can change the line weights to what you need them to be. They are controled by scale.

First, make sure "Thin Lines" is turned off in your views you are trying to print.

Second, use Object Styles to set all line weights for all the categories (Model and Annotation categories.)

Best practice is to use Object Styles to set line weights ( Revit uses weights of 1-16 ) and then create View Templates,

and then apply the View Templates to all views, for a consistent graphic display throughout all views in your project.

Revit uses WYSIWYG ( what you see is what you get ) when it comes to lineweights and printing.

Also, check the printer driver, and make sure something there is not causing the lineweight problem--like Raster vs Vector settings, etc.
