Limited Level of Detail of Walls in Referenced Arch File

Sure this must be a noob issue but I have walls in my architects model that I am referencing in that will not show a "fine" level of detail in detail views. I thinkit's because of some LOD limitation of referenced files but I can't seem to figure out how to change it so that instead of just a mass wall I get to see drywall layers in the detail. Any help would be appreciated.

check if:

  1. Detail Level is set to Medium or Fine (not Coarse )
  2. In Properties>Visibility / Graphics Overrides>Walls >expand  (+) >Common Edges - verify to be checked...
  3. check to see if there are not any fill region or masking region active in your detail view..
