you use a generic annotation family like this one. When you place it(using the symbols command) you will see in the options bar you can specify how many leaders you want. They won't have an arrowhead to start, but if you pick on it and click properties, you can assign whatever arrowhead you want to it and/or make diff. types with diff. arrowheads

Load it into your project and you will find it under:

Families > Annotation Symbols > Null Leader

Just click and drag to you drawing or whatever.

Hope this helps.

Then also, if I succeed in getting it to the correct pace, then how do I use
it?

When you click and drag, look at the options bar and there is something that says ' Number of Leaders '.

Put as many as you want.

What you do is you create a new project that consist of your company standards and what have you and saveas as a .rvt file.
This option is available when you do a saveas. Go to File and click saveas. And when you want to add more to this template in the future just go to File and click Transfer Project Standard.
There are a lot of discussion on this topic , so I recommend you a little search and I guaranty you'll be a much better Revit guy.

Trust me

While you're at it...Can I mention that it would be great if you could also look up " KEYNOTES " if you are not aleady familiar with it. Great stuff.

Cheers

Thanks! This is a great solution... one point of interest, it's called "Blank Leader", not "Null Leader" (easier to find in the family tree when searching by the correct name). Also, is there a way to change the line weight of this type without affecting the line weights of all other leaders in the project?
